So after harvest and curing this bud is choice. Grew two plants and the buds were so different. One had light blueish green buds that were plump with a fruity taste and smell. The other had buds that were real dark green with a hint of blue with bright red hairs. Completely caked with resin. The longer they cure the better they smell and taste. This is my new go to bud.

Orange Velvet and Space Queen
Orange Velvet gives Jillybean its orange: zest, rind and sweet juice. Space Queen, itself a Romulan cross, adds a fruity, slightly tropical edge and helps keep the plant compact. The result is a 60% sativa that grows more like a hybrid, short and branchy rather than tall and lanky.
Aroma
Citrus zest leads, with mango and a sugary, candy-like sweetness behind it. A cured bud smells like orange peel and fruit sweets. Keep the dry slow, because citrus fades fastest when buds dry warm.
Short season, short plant
Size and speed make Jillybean one of the easier photoperiods to grow outside in Canada. Planted out in late spring, it starts to flower as the days shorten and is usually ready before the heaviest fall rain. On a balcony it rarely outgrows the railing, which helps keep it discreet.

How to grow Jillybean
For a sativa-leaning plant, Jillybean is easy to keep small. The label gives 60 to 100 cm, and the stretch after the switch to 12/12 is moderate, so a short veg is enough to fill a small tent. Topping once gives a bushy plant with several even colas.
With 7 to 8 weeks of bloom it is one of the quicker photoperiods we carry, which helps outdoors in a short Canadian summer. The label gives about 400 g per plant outdoors.
It does not like a heavy feed. Run nutrients at the low end and watch the leaf tips for burn.
