So after harvest and curing this bud is choice. Grew two plants and the buds were so different. One had light blueish green buds that were plump with a fruity taste and smell. The other had buds that were real dark green with a hint of blue with bright red hairs. Completely caked with resin. The longer they cure the better they smell and taste. This is my new go to bud.

A Cinderella 99 cross
Cinderella 99 is a sativa line known for finishing fast and staying small for a sativa. Grapefruit crosses it with a landrace sativa whose exact origin was never recorded. The result is sativa-dominant, with narrow leaves and an open structure, but it does not tower the way a Haze does.
The smell
Few strains match their names this closely. In late flower the room smells of pink grapefruit: sour and sharp at first, then sweet. Cured buds pick up a honeyed note, and the citrus holds well if they are dried slowly.
Indoors or out
Indoors, Grapefruit suits a medium tent and a grower who wants a sativa without a long haze finish. Outdoors it does best in a warm, dry late summer. The open bud structure dries quickly after rain, which helps on the BC coast and around the Great Lakes.

How to grow Grapefruit
Veg it under long days until it is about half the height you can allow, then switch to 12/12. The stretch after the switch is real but manageable. A SCROG net or a couple of toppings keeps the canopy even and the tops evenly lit.
Bloom takes 8 to 10 weeks. Outdoors it suits a sunny spot with good airflow, and the label gives about 350 g per plant. Feed lightly, as sativa lines show nutrient burn quickly.
