Where the name comes from
Two things earn Ice Cream its name. The first is the aroma: sweet and creamy, closer to vanilla than to fruit, with candy and citrus on top and a dank, cheesy skunk note underneath. The second is the resin. By late flower the buds and sugar leaves are covered so thickly that they look dusted with frost.
Bigger than an indica-leaning plant usually gets
The label lists Ice Cream as 60% indica, but the frame is tall, past 150 cm, with sturdy side branches. The indica share shows in the flowers, which are dense and heavy, rather than in the height. Plan for both: headroom and support.
That size is what drives the label's outdoor figure of up to 700 g per plant. Indoors, the same vigour fills a screen quickly.

How to grow Ice Cream
Keep veg short in a tent. Switch to 12/12 when the plant is about half the height you can allow, since it continues to grow after the flip. Top once or twice, spread the branches and add a trellis net before flowering so the heavy colas have something to lean on.
Flowering lasts 8 to 9 weeks. Dense, resinous flowers trap moisture, so thin the inner leaves and lower the humidity late in bloom. Outdoors, a plant in full sun is usually ready in early October in the milder parts of Canada; give it a large container or bed and stake it early.
