501st OG is a compact OG for growers short on headroom. Skywalker OG gives it the dense, rounded OG bud, and Rare Dankness #1 adds resin and colour. Seeds from the same pack can finish in quite different shades, from deep green to purple to a rusty red, which makes a four-plant run look like a mixed garden.
Small buds, big smell
The flowers are small and tight rather than long and chunky. What they lack in size they make up in smell. Early in flower it is earthy and a little fruity. By harvest the nose is pine and wood with a sweet, grape-like note under it, and it fills a room quickly, so plan on a carbon filter.

How to grow 501st OG
501st OG feminized seeds grow photoperiod plants. The plant stays in veg as long as the lights run long and starts flowering when you switch to 12/12, so you control the final size. The strain label lists it as short, 60 to 100 cm, and it does not stretch much, which makes it a good fit for a short tent or a closet.
Because it stays small, the way to a bigger harvest is more tops. Top it early, then tie the branches out to build an even canopy. OG lines like steady feeding and a pH that does not swing, so check your runoff.
Outdoors it likes a dry finish. Plan for an October harvest and use a greenhouse where the fall rain comes early. A plant in full sun gives about 400 g.
