Amnesia Haze Feminized Seeds

Amnesia Haze has been a fixture in seed catalogues for a long time, and the reason is the smell. The flowers carry lemon zest and orange peel over an earthy, slightly peppery base, and the citrus holds on through the cure. Open a jar of well-dried Amnesia and the room knows about it.

Amnesia Haze comes here as feminized photoperiod seed. Plants stay in vegetative growth until you shorten the day to 12/12, so you choose how big each one gets before it starts to bloom. THC on the label: 20%.

A Haze that likes to stretch

Amnesia grows the way most Haze plants do: long branches, open spacing between the nodes and a strong upward push once flowering begins. Left alone it turns into a tall, uneven plant with one dominant top. Top it once it has a few sets of leaves, tie the side branches outward and fill a screen before you flip. The stretch that follows then goes sideways into the net instead of into your lights.

Flip earlier than feels natural. A Haze that looks a comfortable size in veg can roughly double once it starts to flower.

Keeping the citrus in the jar

Most of what makes Amnesia worth growing is in the terpenes, and they are easy to lose. Run a carbon filter from the start of flower, keep late-flower temperatures moderate rather than hot, and dry the harvest slowly in a dark, cool room. A rushed, warm dry flattens the lemon into plain hay.

Indoors, outdoors or under plastic

Indoors you control the light, the heat and the humidity, which is where Amnesia does its best work. Outdoors it wants a warm, dry autumn. In most of Canada a greenhouse gives it the margin it needs, and on the wet coast it keeps the rain off the colas while they ripen.
