Alpha Blue is built from two well-known sativa lines. Blue Dream brings the berry sweetness and the vigour, and NYC Diesel brings a citrus and fuel edge. The strain label puts it at about 90% sativa, and the plant grows like it: tall, narrow-leaved and fast once it gets going.
How the aroma changes
Alpha Blue is one of those strains whose smell moves as it cures. At harvest it is bright and lemony with the blueberry in the background. After a few weeks in the jar the citrus fades and an earthy, musky depth takes over, finishing sweet. The berry is there but subtle; this is not a candy strain.

How to grow Alpha Blue
Height is the main thing to plan for. The label lists it as tall, 150 cm and up, and a sativa this heavy keeps stretching for several weeks after the flip to 12/12. Indoors, flip early and train hard.
Top it twice and run a screen. The goal is to turn a plant that wants to be a single tall spear into a flat table of branches. Sativa-heavy plants like lighter feeding than indicas, so start at a lower dose and watch the leaf tips.
Outdoors it does best with a long, warm season, where a plant can give around 450 g. Across most of Canada a greenhouse is the safer bet, so the finish is not caught by fall rain.
