Lemon Cherry Gelato comes from the Gelato side of the cookie family. The strain label lists it as Sunset Sherbet crossed with Girl Scout Cookies, indica-dominant at about 60% indica and 40% sativa, with THC at 20%. It became popular for its smell and its looks, and both show clearly in the garden.
The seeds are feminized, and the plant is a photoperiod that blooms once you set the light to 12/12.
Lemon, cherry and cream
In mid-flower the plant smells of sweet fruit with pine and wood underneath. As it ripens, lemon peel and dark cherry come forward, with berries and a creamy, sherbet-like sweetness rounding it out. The cure brings the cream and the citrus together. Visually, many plants show purple calyxes under bright orange hairs and a thick layer of frost.
Outdoors in Canada
A 7-9 week bloom suits the Canadian season. Outdoors in the south it usually ripens from late September into early October, ahead of most autumn rain. The label lists 400-600 g per plant outdoors, depending on sun and season length.

How to grow Lemon Cherry Gelato
The plant grows with the medium, branching structure typical of Gelato crosses: a solid main stem, plenty of side shoots and moderate stretch after the flip. Top it in veg, once or twice is plenty, and spread the branches under a screen or with ties so the canopy finishes level.
Flowering is relatively quick, 7-9 weeks. Cookie-family plants dislike heavy nitrogen late in bloom, so taper feeding in the final weeks and let the plant fade naturally; the purple shows best that way. The buds are dense, so thin the interior growth before flowering and keep a fan moving air across the tops.
