A line bred for CBD
Charlotte's Web was developed in Colorado by selecting plants for the most CBD and the least THC, partly by working hemp genetics into the line. It was grown as Hippie's Disappointment before it took its current name, which tells you what it was bred for.
The plant looks more like hemp than a modern dessert hybrid: long, narrow fan leaves, open branching and fluffy flowers rather than rock-hard buds.
Aroma
Earthy and woody, with pine and a floral lemon note when the buds are broken open. The smell is milder than most THC strains in late flower.

How to grow Charlotte's Web
Grow it as a photoperiod. Veg under 18 hours of light and switch to 12/12 when the plant is about half the size you want. With 6 to 7 weeks of bloom on the label, it is one of the quickest plants in the range to finish after the switch.
Outdoors that short bloom is a real advantage in a northern season, and the label gives about 400 g per plant. The open structure dries well after rain, but stake the longer branches before the flowers bulk up.
Harvest when most trichomes have turned milky, before a wet fall gives mould its chance.
