Hindu Kush genetics, on a timer
The Afghani landrace grew for generations in the Hindu Kush mountains, kept by farmers who made hashish from it. It is about as pure an indica as exists: thick stems, wide leaves, short internodes and a heavy coat of resin. This version adds ruderalis, so it flowers when it reaches the right age, not when the days shorten.
What it smells like
Sweet earth and spice, with herbs and the dense, incense-like smell of hash. It is a traditional smell, not a fruity one, and it gets strong in the last weeks of flowering.

How to grow Afghani Auto
Start the seed where it will finish and keep one light schedule, 18/6 or 20/4, all the way. Afghani is compact and grows a dominant main cola, so a gentle bend of the main stem in the first weeks gives the side branches a chance to catch up. Skip topping.
The label gives 7 to 9 weeks of flowering. Outdoors, its cold tolerance and quick finish suit a short northern season: put it out once frost is past and it can be harvested before the fall weather turns.
Dense, resinous buds hold moisture, so keep air moving in late flowering and clear the lowest leaves.
