Purple Haze Feminized Seeds

Purple Haze crosses Purple Thai with Haze, giving a sativa-dominant plant with long colas, a sweet berry and earthy smell, and buds that can turn deep purple late in flower. As feminized photoperiod seed you control the veg, which matters with a Haze: flip early, train flat and it stays manageable.

Purple Haze is one of the best-known names in cannabis, and the plant behind it is a cross of Purple Thai and Haze. Both are sativa lines, so the result grows tall and open, with long colas and narrow leaves. It is sativa-dominant, and THC is listed at 20%.

This is the feminized photoperiod version: it flowers when you change the light to 12/12, so how long you veg is up to you.

Where the purple comes from

Purple Thai carries the pigment. Late in flower, many plants shade from green to violet in the calyxes and sugar leaves, and the colour gets deeper when nights are cooler than days. Some phenotypes stay mostly green with purple flecks. The smell is sweet berry over earth and a little spice, and it starts showing early in bloom.

Keeping a Haze in check

Like most Haze crosses, Purple Haze keeps stretching for the first weeks after the switch. Top it once or twice in veg, spread the branches sideways and change to 12/12 earlier than you would for an indica. A screen turns that stretch into extra tops instead of extra height.

Go easy on nutrients; a Haze line burns at the leaf tips long before it shows hunger. Its looser buds also dry out quickly after a humid spell, which is a help in a damp room.

Outdoors in Canada

Flowering takes 8-9 weeks, so outdoors in southern Canada Purple Haze usually ripens around the first half of October, with the cool nights bringing out the colour. Outdoor plants can reach about 400 g. Stake it early; long sativa branches catch the wind.

Purple Haze questions

Does Purple Haze always turn purple?

Not always. The colour comes from the Purple Thai parent, and it shows most in plants that get cool nights late in flower.

How long does Purple Haze take to flower?

Flowering runs 8-9 weeks once the light drops to 12/12.

What is Purple Haze crossed from?

Purple Thai and Haze, both sativa lines, which is why the label lists it as sativa-dominant.

So after harvest and curing this bud is choice. Grew two plants and the buds were so different. One had light blueish green buds that were plump with a fruity taste and smell. The other had buds that were real dark green with a hint of blue with bright red hairs. Completely caked with resin. The longer they cure the better they smell and taste. This is my new go to bud.
