Harlequin Feminized Seeds

About Harlequin

About Harlequin

Harlequin sits at the opposite end of the shelf from the high-THC hybrids most seed banks push. It is a CBD-dominant strain carrying up to 15% CBD against a moderate THC content, and that ratio is the entire point of the plant. Strains that carry both cannabinoids together tend to give a rounder, steadier result than either one alone.

What growers notice most is what Harlequin does not do. It leaves you clear-headed and functional rather than altered, which is why it has a following among people who want something they can use during a working day at a desk. Many growers report a calm, level effect that lets them carry on with whatever they were doing. The aroma is grounding and mild, another reason it gets kept close at hand rather than saved for the evening.

Growing Harlequin Feminized Seeds

These are photoperiod feminized seeds. The plants stay in vegetative growth for as long as you keep the lights on 18 hours or more, and only begin to flower once you switch the room to a 12/12 cycle. That control is the reason to pick the feminized version: you set the veg length, so you set the final size of the plant and, by extension, the size of the harvest.

With a CBD strain that control matters more than usual, because most people growing Harlequin want volume rather than a token amount. A longer veg gives you more branch sites to work with, and Harlequin responds well to topping and low-stress training. Tie the main branches outward, or run a SCROG net, and you convert a single plant into an even canopy of medium colas rather than one leader and a skirt of larf. Every seed is female, so nothing gets pulled halfway through and nothing goes to seed.

The trade-off is time. A photoperiod run is longer end to end than an auto, since veg is on your clock rather than the plant's. In exchange you get maximum return per plant, plus the option to hold a mother back in veg indefinitely and take cuttings from her.

What to Expect

• Flowering: 8 to 9 weeks indoors after the flip to 12/12
• Total cycle: flowering time plus whatever veg length you choose
• Height: fully under your control through veg length and training
• Difficulty: straightforward, with no sexing work required

Harvest on the late side if the CBD profile is what you are after, and cure slowly to keep that mild aroma intact.
