About Pineapple Express
Run this one photoperiod and the tropical side of Pineapple Express gets room to develop fully. Pineapple Express smells and tastes like the fruit it is named after —bright, juicy and tropical, with the sweetness carrying right through the smoke rather than dropping off after the first note.
THC sits at 23%, so the tropical flavour is doing a decent job of disguising a strain with real strength behind it. Take it in moderation until you know how it lands on you.
What people like about the effect is that it does not leave you sluggish or vacant. Many report feeling clear and capable rather than couch-bound, with an extra bit of bounce in the step, which makes it one of the rarer high-THC strains that can be used without writing off the rest of the day. It suits a session in the middle of things rather than the end of them.
Growing Pineapple Express Feminized Seeds
These are photoperiod feminized seeds. The plant vegetates for as long as you keep it under long light hours and only enters bloom when you drop the cycle to 12/12, meaning the size of the plant, and by extension the size of the harvest, is under your control rather than fixed by the genetics.
Pineapple Express is unusually well suited to a grower’s first photoperiod run because it is naturally resistant to common moulds and plant diseases. That resistance takes the most frequent cause of a failed crop off the table, and it means you can veg the plant longer and build a bigger canopy without the usual anxiety about airflow and humidity in a dense bush.
- Veg for four weeks or more before flipping to get real size on the plant
- Top early and use LST to spread the growth; the mould resistance means you can carry a fuller canopy than usual
- A SCROG net converts that extra veg time directly into bud sites
The one thing this strain asks for is patience. The whole photoperiod cycle is longer than an auto, veg plus bloom rather than a single fixed run, and rushing the flip is the main way growers leave weight on the table.
What to Expect
Flowering takes 7 to 9 weeks once you switch to 12/12, on top of your chosen veg period. Yields run to upwards of 500 grams per plant, and that holds whether you are growing indoors under lights or outdoors through the season.
Difficulty is low, largely thanks to that disease resistance. A capable beginner will finish this one without much trouble.

100% success rate with these seeds, and a great strain! I tried some seeds from another distributor, and they were all duds. Had a few of these left over, from a few years ago and they grew long tap roots in one day! Very happy with the quality of seeds at the seed pharm.
