What A-10 smells like
A-10 splits its aroma between ripe fruit and earth. The fruit is upfront when the plant is handled in flower, sweet and a little sharp, while the earthy side is deeper and lasts longer in the cured jar. The finish is sweet. It is not the loudest plant in the catalogue, which helps if smell is a concern, although a carbon filter is still sensible indoors.
A tidy plant for a tent
At 100 to 150 cm the plant fits a standard tent with room for a light above it, and it grows with a sturdy main stem and evenly spaced side branches. Top it once in veg and you get a handful of main colas of similar size. Its flowers are thick and resinous, so open the canopy with light defoliation rather than letting it close up.
It is a good plant for learning the photoperiod routine. Nothing about it is extreme: it neither stretches hard after the flip nor stalls when the feed is a little off, so mistakes show up slowly and can be corrected.

How to grow A-10
Run 18 hours of light in veg and switch to 12/12 when the plant reaches about half its intended height. It needs 8 to 10 weeks from there. Let the trichomes call the harvest rather than the calendar: once most heads are cloudy under a loupe with a few turning amber, it is ready.
Outdoors, a plant that turns to flower naturally in August finishes in early to mid October. That suits the warmer parts of southern Ontario and the BC interior in a dry year; elsewhere a greenhouse is safer. A sunny spot with good soil should bring in around 450 g per plant.
