A Mexican haze, rebalanced
Mexican Haze is a tall, slow, citrus-and-spice sativa. Crossing it with a high-CBD variety pulled the chemistry toward an even balance, about one part CBD to one part THC, without changing the plant much. It is still sativa-dominant: long internodes, narrow leaves and airy, spear-shaped colas.
Aroma
Sweet citrus leads, with an herbal, spicy haze note underneath. The airy flowers dry quickly and keep their citrus well through the cure.

How to grow Mexican Gold
The label puts it past 150 cm, and it stretches after the switch to 12/12. Indoors, flip it early and fill a SCROG net, tucking the branches under the mesh through the first weeks of bloom. Outdoors, give it full sun and room; the label gives up to 700 g per plant in a long season.
It needs 8 to 10 weeks of bloom. Airy sativa buds resist rot better than dense indica flowers, which helps in a damp fall, but the height makes wind a problem, so stake it early. A south-facing spot with shelter from the prevailing wind suits it best.
Feed it lighter than an indica. Haze-type plants show burnt leaf tips quickly, and a pale, steady feed keeps the leaves green through to harvest.
