Why growers pick Gummy Bear Auto
Atlas Seed bred it to answer one question: can you keep botrytis at bay and still bring in a heavy, potent crop?
It holds up when the weather turns
Dense flowers usually invite rot. This line gets its mold resistance from Atlas Star, the breeder’s master donor, so the buds stand a better chance through a damp coastal fall. No plant is immune, so airflow still matters.
It finishes before the frost
Autoflowers flower on age, not on day length. A plant out in late May is harvested in August, which is why short-season growers on the Prairies run autos and skip photoperiods.
It stays small and behaves
The breeder describes it as compact and consistent. That makes it easy to plan a tent around, and easy to keep behind a fence outdoors.
Will it finish where you live?
Yes, almost anywhere in Canada. That is the point of an autoflower.
- The Prairies: out after the last frost in late May, harvested in August, ahead of the mid September frost. See the Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba guide.
- BC coast and southern Ontario: it is done before the autumn rain settles in, and the mold resistance is there if it does not quite make it. See the BC guide and the Ontario guide.
- Indoors, any province: one light schedule from seed to harvest. Start a new plant whenever the tent has room.
How to grow Gummy Bear Auto
An autoflower runs on its own clock, so the job is to give it a smooth start and then stay out of its way.
Start it in its final pot
Plant the seed 6 to 13 mm deep, straight into the pot it will finish in. Autoflowers start flowering a few weeks after they sprout whether they are ready or not, so a plant that stalls after a transplant never gets that time back.
Indoors: one light schedule
There is no switch to 12/12. Keep the lights on 18 hours a day from seed to harvest. At 60 to 100 cm it fits a small tent, and because it stays even you can run several side by side under one light.
Outdoors: after the last frost
Put it out once the frost risk has passed. In most of Canada that is late May to early June. A second run started in mid June can still finish before fall in the longer-season provinces.
Keep the air moving anyway
Mold resistance is a head start, not a force field. Space the plants, strip the lowest growth, and do not let wet leaves sit overnight late in flower. The smell is lemon, parmesan and fuel, and it carries, so run a carbon filter indoors.
Where the genetics come from
Gummy Bear Auto is bred by Atlas Seed. It crosses Atlas Star, their mold-resistant master donor, with the OG side of their Mythic OG line. Atlas sells it as Gummibears Auto, and that is what is in the pack.

Frequently asked questions
Is Gummy Bear Auto really mold resistant?
It was bred for it. Atlas Seed built the line on Atlas Star, their mold-resistant donor, to keep botrytis at bay. Resistant is not immune, so give it airflow.
How long does it take from seed to harvest?
8 to 10 weeks. It starts flowering on its own a few weeks after it sprouts.
How strong is Gummy Bear Auto?
The breeder lists it at 15 to 20% THC.
Do I need to change the light schedule?
No. Keep the lights on 18 hours a day from seed to harvest. Outdoors it flowers regardless of day length.
Can I grow it outdoors in Canada?
Yes, where your province allows it. Put it out after the last frost. It finishes in summer, ahead of the fall frost and the worst of the autumn rain.
Is Gummy Bear the same as Gummibears?
Yes. Atlas Seed sells it as Gummibears Auto. Same genetics, two spellings.
