Maxigom is built from two well-known lines, Critical Mass and AK-47, both in their autoflowering forms. Its label gives the cross as Auto Critical Mass x Auto AK-47, with a genetic split of 40% indica, 40% sativa and 20% ruderalis. THC is listed at 10%, low for a modern strain.

What each parent brings
Critical Mass is known for heavy, dense buds that fill out late in flower, sometimes heavy enough to bend the branches. AK-47 brings a more even, mixed structure and a sour, earthy edge to the smell. Together they give a sweet and sour nose with fruit and a little pine, which strengthens through the last weeks.

How to grow Maxigom
Start the seed in the container it will finish in, and train it gently rather than pruning it hard: bend and tie the main stem early so the side branches catch up and the canopy finishes level. The label gives a medium height, 100-150 cm, which fits a standard tent.
Critical-type buds hold moisture, so airflow is the thing to manage. Strip some of the small, shaded growth from the lower branches, keep a fan running and hold humidity down in late flower. Check the inside of the largest buds before harvest.
Flowering on the label lasts 10-12 weeks. Harvest by the trichomes rather than the date, once most have turned cloudy.
Outdoors, give it a sunny, sheltered spot. The label lists around 300 g per plant.
