Where White Widow comes from
White Widow was bred in the Netherlands from a Brazilian sativa and a South Indian indica, and it became one of the best known Dutch strains, mostly for its resin. The name comes from the white coat of trichomes that covers the buds and the sugar leaves by mid-flower.
This autoflower version crosses that line with ruderalis. The plant keeps White Widow's chunky, conical buds and its frost, but it switches to flowering by age, not by day length.
The smell and the resin
Expect an earthy, woody smell with pepper and a sharp, pungent edge rather than fruit. The resin is the point: trichome heads cover the buds thickly, which is why so many growers set part of the harvest aside for dry sift or ice water hash.

How to grow White Widow Auto
Sow it where it will finish, run 18/6 indoors from seed to harvest, and keep the first weeks gentle: light feeding, no topping, and a stem bent and tied early if you want a flatter canopy. An autoflower that stalls as a seedling rarely makes the time back.
Outdoors it suits a short northern season. Start it once nights stay mild and it can be harvested in summer, and a second plant started later can still finish before the fall rain. The label gives about 400 g per plant.
Harvest by the trichomes. On a resin plant like this, the change from clear to milky is easy to see with a loupe.
